Book Review: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

This had my attention from start to finish. It’s been a while since I picked up a book that caught my interest as quickly as this, I found myself feeling attached to the characters very quickly, they all have their own traits that make you like them all for different reasons.

The lovely Liane Moriarty answers some question for all of you book lovers and Penguin fans!
Penguin books that is, but I do understand that everyone loves a flightless Antarctic bird.

Book Review: My Husband Next Door by Catherine Alliott

This book is a bit of a feel good story of family and every day problems people face in life yet it is also a lot darker than one might think when they pick up this book!

Hearing the back story of Ella and Sebastian is something I enjoyed. When the secret was revealed I was surprised but it made sense and brought the story together for me and overall I did enjoy it enough to consider reading more of this authors work in future.

Book Review: Down London Road by Samantha Young

Down London Road is in a sense a sequel to Samantha Young’s ‘On Dublin Street’ which I have not yet read, the book follows a character who I know to be within the previous book but not the feature character, therefore this meant I could read Down London Road having not read on Dublin street and it didn’t really matter. Although I have been left definitely wanting to read On Dublin Street!

Book Review: Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher

I liked this book instantly thanks to its cute cover design and typography I know they say you should “never judge a book by its cover” but I can’t help it, its one of those things that comes with being a designer and I have a soft spot for pretty things. The vector silhouettes in the design and the simple style used, combined with the warm gradient background attracted me to the book before I had even curled back the freshly printed cover.
