Last Halloween I made these cute little cup cakes and added Halloween cocktail sticks in the tops to theme them, you can get similar toppers from craft stores and even the pound shops around Halloween that work perfect for topping cakes and don’t cost much.
What is The October Club you ask? Well, it is a youtube based book club of sorts started by the lovely Carrie Fletcher, unlike your average book club this particular one is not based around everyone reading one book at the same time.
The general idea is that everyone reads a book, any book… you choose.
As a first time reader of a Walsh sisters novel and the work of Marian Keyes I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to enjoy this without having read the previous books first, to my surprise this was not the case.
Initially I found myself struggling to get into this book but I stuck with it and a quarter of the way in I found myself loving everything about it, the characters had really started to come to life and the story itself was keeping me on edge wanting to see what was going to happen next.
At first glance you may think you’re about to settle down into a lovely chick-lit romantic comedy…. You may be very mistaken! Me Before You is a romantic novel, and has its moments that will make you laugh and fall in love with the characters over and over again. There are also times where it will more than likely make you want to cry.
