Review: Aden + Anais Hooded Towel Set

Quite possibly the most nerve wracking experience of having a baby to care for is bath time. The thought of being alone with your baby and a tub full of potentially dangerous water is something I have worried about on several occasions – as if you don’t have enough things to be worried about when becoming a parent!

Since Taylor was born we’ve bathed him on a bath support in shallow water and it’s really not as scary as I’d imagined, it’s actually a rather special time of day. Washing his hair and his tiny toes whilst he splashes in the water is now a fun experience and the older he gets, the more he enjoys it.

One of the things we were told at our antenatal classes was not to buy into products such a towels that are aimed at babies, just buy a normal towel, why waste your money? This didn’t stop me wanting something cute and different for Taylor. I wanted a towel that would be soft and durable, with one of those adorable little hoods – who doesn’t want that? We were very kindly sent the Aden + Anais hooded towel set to review for bath time with Taylor, we absolutely love their products!

I initially thought they only sold swaddles and muslins but they have a whole range of products from bath towels to sleeping bags, and this week they launched a range of muslin clothing, which is absolutely adorable!

The set we received features the ‘twinkle’ star design, my absolute favourite from their line of prints. It’s gender neutral whilst looking clean and modern. The stars also match his bedroom and who doesn’t love a baby star print? The set is made of soft terry towelling cotton, with a muslin hood and trim. It also comes with a matching muslin wash cloth which is a lovely addition.

The towel is bigger than others I’ve seen so it’s perfect to snuggle him up in after bath time and he loves it as other smaller towels have left him chilly and a little grumpy after bath time.
Since becoming more mobile, he now likes to scurry off with the hood on and the towel trailing behind him, it’s rather cute!

The quality of the set is as you’d expect, a high quality product that is going to last. After heavy use ours is showing no signs of wear and washes perfectly.

The aden + anais hooded towel sets are currently retailing at £29.95 and can be purchased at uk.adenandanais.com

This is adorable! I love the star Patten and it looks so soft! The muslin hood is a great idea, too. This would make a lovely gift for my niece! Thanks for the idea and lovely review.

  • What a gorgeous towel, it looks so soft & well made. I love the towels with hoods when they are small to keep them nice & warm. Lovely review hun x

That’s a really cute design! I love that it is a bigger towel, I found it a pain that the hooded baby towels were too small by the time he was a few months old – and mine wasn’t a big baby. Great idea for a gift for a new mum! Lovely review (and lovely pics of your very cute baby!)

  • I love the stars design and it looks so snuggly and warm. The bigger size will come in handy also to make sure it wraps right around baby.

Aww, Taylor is such a cutie and the hooded towel set sounds fab. I always used those sorts of towels on my two when they were little. Oscar’s just moved on to the bigger poncho style towels now though as his baby towels no longer keep him snug!
