Winter has finally begun to subside and the sun is shining, can you believe it? We were actually playing in snow last week.
We’ve been taking advantage of the lighter evenings too. Getting a toddler to sleep is hard at the best of times, it’s even harder when it’s still day light through to 9:00pm. After a week of challenging bed times we decided we needed to get out of the house.
As full time working parents we don’t see Taylor until around 6:00pm of an evening when we get home from work. Bed time is around 7:00pm. Sometimes it’s nice to forget when bed time is and spend time together instead.
Last night we decided to head out to park. It was great to just spend that extra time with him, have fun, and watch him laugh.
This also meant that when we got home, although it was still light outside, he was more than ready for bed. Forty minutes of running around with such little legs is enough to tire him out.
It might be sunny but it’s still fairly chilly right now. For this evenings outing Taylor wore the My Little Duckling Spitfire hat to keep his ears covered. He is prone to ear infections and this adorable hat has been brilliant!
