When the super compact Babyzen YOYO+ stroller arrived at our door, in a box no bigger than Taylor himself, I thought something was missing. This can’t be it?
So far we’ve taken the YOYO+ on a few outings and these are our initial thoughts. The perils of working full time means we’re pretty limited to weekends at the moment.
Our first thoughts were of course how small The Babyzen is when folded. A stroller that boasts being small enough to travel as a carry-on for flying is impressive. Maybe I can rekindle my dream having a mini or a Fiat500 with a baby after all?!
It took around 20 minutes to build the stroller, it would have taken 5 minutes had Tails not been climbing it. He also stole the instructions on many occasions. The chassis comes complete, wheels and all. Simply velcro the seat unit onto it, add your colour pack and you’re ready to stroll!
I did film this exciting experience, we’ll share that with you in our next post for comedy value. 😉
We chose the Grey colour pack with the White chassis and the two together look great. I’m loving all things grey right now. Once built Tails was eager to test it out, the seat is roomy and as a petite 14 month old he has a tonne of room to grow. It can also handle a weight of up to 18KG when most strollers only go up to 15kg.
You can use a universal foot muff with the stroller although ours is a bit too long for the YOYO+ so I’d test yours out first. You can however purchase the matching Babyzen foot muff.
So far the stroller has fared well outdoors and is perfect for use on flat ground. I wouldn’t say it’s built for rough terrain but it’s a stroller, of course it isn’t. If we intend to travel at all this year it’s going to be perfect.
I’ve loved being able to leave in the boot and flip it out when needed as apposed to our travel system which fills the boot and requires assembly after each fold. Their is also the option to add car seat clips or a baby nest and use it from birth. For a stroller their isn’t much it doesn’t do!
We will be sharing our thoughts on the performance aspect of the Babyzen YOYO+ next month! Is it the perfect travel companion? Is it worth the £339 price tag? Is it suitable for snoozing?
