We recently placed an online shop with Ocado and ordered a selection of Kiddie Cubes for Taylor to try. Perfect for those days when time is of the essence. Kiddie Cubes are a fantastic alternative as they allow you to give meals that are just like ones you would make yourself, except all the hard work has been done for you!
When it comes to weaning theirs nothing better than giving your baby fresh home cooked meals, they’re full of nutrition and you know exactly what has gone into making it. We try to make our own purée as often as we can but as any parent will know it’s not always possible.
I’ve been returning to work gradually and definitely found the need for quick and easy meals of an evening when I get home 5 minutes before Taylor’s dinner time, but I’d hate to compromise on the quality of the food he is being given.
Each re-sealable KiddieCubes pack contains 12 x 25g cubes (each cube is the equivalent to one heaped tablespoon) so you are in total control of portion size and wastage is kept to a minimum.
They’re so simple to serve, simply pop your required number of cubes into a saucepan and warm them up for a few minutes.
So far Taylor has tried Veggie Lamb Casserole, Hearty Chicken & Veg Hotpot, Fishermans Pie, Cauliflower and Broccoli and Creamy Porridge. He hasn’t been overly keen on the Cauliflower and Broccoli, I think this is due to the texture however he absolutely loves all of the others.
You can actually smell how fresh they are, they smell like real food! The Fishermans Pie in particular smells very strong and I thought he wasn’t going to enjoy it, 4 cubes later I was proven wrong! As with anything we give to Taylor we have to taste it too, both Daddy and I have been impressed as they don’t taste like generic shop bought baby foods but fresh home cooked food as advertised.
Kiddie Cubes come in a selection of 14 different meals made from organic, wholesome ingredients starting from 4+ months their’s enough variety for little ones to explore textures and tastes on their weaning journey.

Upon checking out on Ocado I was able to choose which day and time my delivery came so I knew we would be home, they were really easy to purchase online meaning we can get them any time. I’m looking forward to trying some different flavours in our next order.
Overall we’re really impressed with Kiddie Cubes, they’ve been a saving grace on those evenings where food prep hasn’t really been an option, I’ve also popped frozen cubes in a container and taken them on the go for lunch. Taylor enjoys them and we love knowing that he’s still eating healthy meals that are vitamin and protein rich with no added sugar and low in natural sugars. I’ve even found myself serving them on evenings when time hasn’t been an issue as I know he enjoys them so much.
Kiddie Cubes are available to purchase through Ocado, Waitrose, Asda and Newlyns averaging at £3.49 for a bag of 12 cubes.
