What's in my birth bag?

As we have less than one week until we reach our EDD (January 2nd) I thought It was about time I shared which essentials are in my birth bag, because if I leave it any longer it could be too late… Although I have a feeling that we’ll be going over our due date.

The bags have been packed and waiting by our door since week 28 alongside the car seat, now we just need this little minion to make his grand appearance!

I may have over packed but you can’t predict if you’ll be going home the same day, staying over night, or maybe even longer. So I felt it’s best to be prepared. We’ll be going to our local birth centre which is inside the hospital and close enough for any items we may have missed but I think I’ve covered it all?

Alongside all of mine & babies thing I’ve also packed a clean t-shirt for my partner and a couple sets of his daily wear contact lenses incase we have a long labour! w
We will also be taking our camera phone charger and change for hospital parking.

I’ve also been informed that its a good idea to pack essential oils for massage, and olive oil to put on babies bum for that first nappy (it stops that first meconium poo from sticking!) clever. Oh and champagne to celebrate!

Are their any items you found to be must haves in your hospital bag that I may have missed? I’d love to know!
