It’s the final week before our EDD and I can’t believe this tiny person has been growing inside of me for nine months! It has literally flown by and I’m more than ready to meet our little bundle, theirs a good chance we could go over by a week or two especially with this being my first. However, this has been such a simple text book pregnancy so far that I don’t mind waiting. I actually think I’m going to miss this jiggly little bump of mine.
Baby C is now as big as a small watermelon, and his Dad’s jokes about me eating too many watermelons are fitting to my size!
He is a fully developed tiny person just waiting for his opportunity to come and say hello. Last night (Christmas night) was met with a very restless nights sleep and plenty of Braxton hicks. Today we’ve had feet sticking out of my sides and a few back pains so hopefully it won’t be too long until the main event.
This week I’ve been chomping on ice cubes and ice lollies again like I was in the first trimester, except this time it isn’t accompanied by nausea. I can also eat a lot more food now our little one has dropped freeing up some space which was perfect timing for Christmas dinner, now we wait!
I’ll be back next week with our 40 week update after what may be our final midwife appointment, that is of course unless we have our hands full before then, who knows?!
