Today you are six months old 01/07/2015, halfway through your first year and six months away from your first Birthday, how is that even possible? I say this every month but time really is passing us by so fast, people love to tell parents of newborns to cherish every minute and they’re right.
Watching you flourish into your own little person is truly magical. You’re personality has started to show more over the last month, you’re very cheeky and as always, smiley. Daddy and I can sit blowing raspberries with you and laughing at your for hours.
This month you –
☆ Weigh 14lb
☆ Have TWO teeth!
☆ Have outgrown some of your 0-3 month clothing and now fit some 3-6 month!
☆ After 6 months of being exclusively breastfed we have started weaning
☆ Started to wear cloth nappies! Yay us
☆ Learnt how to blow raspberries, and won’t stop 😛
☆ You have started splashing all the way through your swimming lessons
☆ Sitting up better, but prefer to roll and turn on your arms
☆ You’re trying really hard to crawl!
We’ve been having lots of fun at our weekly Baby sensory classes and you’ve become so sociable, you love engaging with other babies, even if that means trying to pull their ears off and kiss them.
Swimming has been going great and you really do love making a splash! We’ve finished for summer now so we plan to take you to the local pool ourselves until lessons start again in September.
You’re trying very hard to crawl at the moment, albeit with your head on the carpet, ouch! You’ve also learnt to blow raspberries properly and won’t stop showering us in your dribble, it’s ridiculously cute though so we’ll let you off. You have TWO teeth now, your lower central incisors. My goodness it hurts when you bite down with those peggies!
So far I feel like we’re making the most of our time off together, we’re also trying to do more on Daddy’s days off as a family and it’s lovely, even if it’s just a trip to shops as a family.
I intend to spend the next 6 months doing as much as we can before I return to work full time and you head out on your own big adventures at nursery. It’s both sad and scary just thinking of whats to come so let’s make these 6 months really count!
Love & squishes, Mummy & Daddy Xx
ps: How cute do you look in your little Buzz Lightyear onesie!
