Milestone: Getting the Giggles - Taylor is 8 Weeks Old

Taylor turned 8 weeks old last Thursday, I can’t believe how fast time is passing us by. I thought being at home all day with a baby would be filled with long stressful days but it’s the complete opposite, T is spending a lot more time awake during the day now which is fun for both of us even if our day does begin at 5am, he spends much of his time smiling at me and shouting. Of course he isn’t perfect, I do get screamed at for half of the day, and pooped at. It’s all part of the adventure!

This month you –

☆ Weigh 9lb 4oz
☆ Had vaccinations and screamed! 🙁
☆ Got cradlecap, it’s almost gone now
☆ Started to outgrow newborn clothes
☆ Learnt to gurgle and shout
☆ Love laughing at Daddy!

I definitely don’t get to read as much as before, let alone find the concentration or time for an in-depth book review, I am working on it, I have a few half written blabbering night-feed written reviews to sort through and fix. I’m sure those who know me for my book addiction and blogging are getting sick of my baby blabbering but hey, I have a baby now and it’s amazing!

T has changed so much in the last four weeks, he is finally starting to fill out his newborn babygrows and will be moving into bigger ones. He now weighs over 9lb 40z’s, still a little small for 9 weeks so I hope he gains some weight before his next checkup although he does feed non-stop.

He wore a m&p 0-3 babygrow yesterday and it wasn’t that big on him, however compared to 0-3 from other brands it came up small. His others are huge! It’s hard to imagine he’s ever going to be that big.

Today T had his vaccinations, I know this one of those marmite subjects but I made the choice for him to have them just as I did when I was a baby. He took the oral without a problem however the injections weren’t received so well. I felt awful, but I know its for a good reason.

My tiny T is growing so fast.
