Dear Taylor,
December was a busy month for us, especially in the run up to the most magical time of year, Christmas. I wanted nothing more than to make your first Christmas a special one and aside from a few hiccups, broken boiler, moving house, spending boxing day in A&E, I think we still managed to achieve that.
This month you graduated from Baby Sensory with your friends, the troublesome trio is no more. I think we’re both going to miss our weekly outing of fun and singing ‘Hello to the sun’ whilst mummy signs all of the wrong signs. It’s been a big part of our time together during my maternity leave. It’s been 12 months of fun and I’m so glad we plucked up the courage to go. I made my first mummy friend, who we didn’t already know before you born, there. I’ve also loved seeing you interact with your little friends A & W each week, socialising and learning new things with Sarah, the most lovely and fun Baby Sensory leader we could have asked for!
December was a busy month for us all and as you can see it saw you on the other side of a camera that wasn’t mine for a change! You tried your hand at modelling for a local romper boutique, Rocks & Rompers, posed as an elf at the Baby Sensory Christmas party and had a photo shoot in a tiny bathtub! The lovely Kate at Strawberry Angels Studio was brilliant and I couldn’t resist purchasing a copy of you in a tiny bath. My goodness, I think this is now my favourite picture of you, it might even top the picture of you with a cucumber in your pocket.
So this month (December) you –
☆ Are 12 months old.
☆ Can now say Hi, Hiya, Bye – It’s adorable!
☆ Are still wearing 6-9 month clothes – Shorty
☆ Graduated from Baby Sensory *sob*
☆ Have been self soothing to sleep thanks to Bubbaroo – Wahooo
☆ Have 6 teeth and have taken to biting – Ouch!
☆ Tried modelling – Of course, to me, you looked cute. 😉
Overall we may have had a busy month with lots of activities and your first Christmas. But January is set to be just as busy kicking off with your 1st Birthday on January 1st, moving house and mummy returning to work full time. Blimey!
I don’t know how we’ll have time for anything else next month with my maternity leave coming to a close but as always I’m sure you’re going to have another fun filled month with Mummy and Daddy. x
