Choosing a car seat that meets the highest of safety standards whilst being affordable and suitable for your child is an absolute minefield.
This is our 4th car seat out of two children, choosing their first infant car seats seemed like such a huge task. Deciding what was good enough to hold our precious newborns. Taylor went from his infant Car Seat into the Maxi Cosi 2Way Pearl, where he was rear-facing up until 2 months ago. At almost 5 years old he finally reached the height limit of the car seat, and I must say after 4 years of daily use it was starting to look tired.
It has however been passed onto his sister for now. Although car seats do have expiration dates stamped on them, so I must check this!
After searching for months to find a car seat I was comfortable with we stumbled upon the Maxi Cosi Kore Pro i-size. Moving Taylor into a forward-facing group 2/3 seat after so long rear-facing seemed like a big deal. Especially as he’d be using the seat belt instead of a 5-point-harness.
Most Group 3 seats I’d seen just didn’t look sturdy or of a high enough quality. Until now.

I’m a sucker for details so the high-quality look and feel of the seat. The fabric and the finer details such as the click assist light, SIP and easy to adjust headrest were all positives for me. The seat looks great in our car. It doesn’t stand out and is easy to clean.
