Taylor's First Easter Basket

Gifts aren’t something I would usually associate with easter, when I was growing up it was always a chocolate egg and that’s your lot, however as this is Taylor’s first ever Easter I wanted to do something. At 3 months old the only way he’s having a chocolate egg¬†is if I eat it first, which is one idea I’m not totally against ūüėČ

After a lot of thought I was at a loss, what do you give a baby for easter? Thanks to Kerry over at Oh So Amelia I decided to make a small easter basket for T, containing items I had already wanted for him or knew would come in handy.

Here’s what¬†I’ve put into T’s first easter basket, next year he should be able to enjoy a small sweet treat instead! –

Guess How Much I Love You Book¬†–

First off we have a book, what kind of book lover would I be if I wasn’t taking every opportunity to expand my boys book collection? Guess How Much I Love You is the story of the little nutbrown hare, I love this story and thought it would suit the easter theme quiet well. We can read this on Easter morning! who wants to place a bet as to¬†whether or not I tear up at this ridiculously sweet story?

Guess How Much I Love You Outfit –

In keeping with the theme and being practical I bought this very cute outfit, this is by TU from Sainsburys, RRP £12 but they have had 25% off all clothing so it was a bargain!

Taylor has lots of clothing in his current size so I’ve bought this in 3-6 months for him to grow into, hopefully he can wear this when we have some nicer weather.

ELC Blossom Farm Rattle¬†–

Laurie lamb is a cute rattle by ELC, I purchased this in Boots for ¬£4. Taylor doesn’t have many toys yet but has started to show an interest in holding objects and playing, he also stuck it in his mouth and started to suck on it so¬†we were definitely buying it after that!

MAM Oral Care Rabbit¬†–

This¬†is something I purchased before Taylor was born for ¬£5.99, as it’s fitting with the theme I’ve placed it in his easter basket. I want him to get used to having his gums and teeth cleaned from an early age to try and avoid problems later.

Taylor has started teething already, after both a GP and nurse told me he couldn’t be for his age, they both ate their own words once they had looked in his mouth!

Do you have children who are too young for chocolate, can’t have dairy¬†or just prefer not to give it to them, if so what are you doing for Easter?
