As we prepared for Taylor’s 1st Christmas, obviously a very big deal, I went on a mission to find a ‘First Christmas’ sleepsuit. Very few places I found did these in sizes big enough. I don’t think everyone realises that not all babies having their first Christmas are newborns.

Taylor was born on the 1st of January so he was almost one year old on his 1st Christmas. Fortunately for us we were given the opportunity to try the cutest First Christmas outfit from the Mamas & Papas ‘Welcome to The World’ collection which came in his size, and my search was over, it was perfect.
We’re big fans of all things m&p and love the quality of their products from our pram, to nursery furniture and wallpaper, we invested a lot in m&p during our pregnancy.
Taylor’s coming home outfit when he was born was from the Mamas & Papas ‘Welcome to The World’ collection and to this day the cutest little outfit I’ve ever seen, maybe I’m biased, it did house my tiny newborn after all? So it was no surprise to me when this little number arrived and turned out be just as gorgeous.
Everything from this particular range has a luxury, traditional, feel to it. This set came complete with matching bib and hat embellished in ‘My First Christmas and finished with beautiful silver rope detailing, it truly was the perfect outfit. Taylor wore this outfit on Christmas Eve and it really added the finishing touch to creating a lovely 1st Christmas with our baby.
After his bath we got him changed into the all in one, put out treats for Father Christmas and his reindeer, sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn and settled down for the evening. Of course Taylor didn’t have the foggiest what was going on but we should start as we mean to go on when it comes to Christmas and starting traditions.
My mum always bought us new pyjamas for Christmas and I’ll be doing the same for Taylor. Wearing the mamas & papas all in one for bed on Christmas Eve meant Taylor was wearing his 1st Christmas all in one in the morning when we went downstairs to see if the big guy had been! He looked absolutely adorable and we caught it all on video.
I have no doubt it will be packed away with his other special outfits for safe keeping to be looked back upon in years to come.
Did you keep your little ones special outfits or repurpose them?
