As part of our ambassadorship with Konfidence this year we headed to Alton Towers for a weekend of fun. Where we experienced the CBeebies land hotel, the rides and most importantly the Splash Landings water park where we really put the Children’s Konfidence swimwear to the ultimate test!
Taylor has been taking swimming lessons for around 4 months now and his confidence has grown immensely. I also noticed that once he started wearing the Konfidence warma wetsuit for his swimming lessons he spent less time standing in the pool with his arms wrapped around himself. I imagine this is because he felt warmer and more comfortable when compared to being topless in his old swim shorts.
Both Taylor and Harriet have the Konfidence warma wetsuits. This was Harriets first time in a swimming pool. Having had countless health problems since birth I was reluctant to take her swimming. Knowing she would be warm and comfortable in the pool was essential. And as you can see, she loved it!
Inside the Splash Landings Waterpark, there were plenty of places to put the wetsuits and buoyancy vest to the test. From water slides to the lazy river there was something for all of us to enjoy.
We had a really fun time at the waterpark, theme park and hotel. I think Taylor will be disappointed when he goes back to swimming at the local pool next week. He won’t stop talking about the giant bucket that dropped water on his head or the ‘super cool’ slides. He will however still have his Konfidence wetsuit to protect him and keep him warm no matter where he’s swimming.
Many of the slides at Splash Landings require you to be over 1 metre tall and Taylor has asked to be measured repeatedly so he can use them all next time!
