London's family friendly highlights this summer

When it comes to visiting London for a holiday, you will find that it is a city that holds a treasure trove of cultures and entertainments for all of your family to enjoy. It can be a bit of a nightmare finding fun things to do every day to excite your children, but don’t worry, from the moment you step out into London’s busy streets, you will never be without something to do. Here are some of the best things that you can do as a family throughout the summer in London.

Paddington Bear Tour – Paddington

Naturally, everybody knows about Paddington Bear, but did you know that this summer you can undertake a whole tour dedicated to him, his books and his films. This walk begins in Paddington Station, where you will find the statue of Paddington when he first arrived at the station. You can pose for a selfie with this loveable bear before taking the option of following the Pawprint Trail to find his alternative statues around the area. This is a great way to get to know Paddington as a whole and keep your whole family active during the hotter part of the year.

Lulworth Cove – Dorset

If you are looking for a way to escape the everyday tourist traps, your Dorsett Hotel, city life and the over-crowded London streets, then it’s time to pack your swim suits and take your kids to the other Dorset for the day. There you will find Lulworth Cove. This is a small white beach that is in the shape of a pebble. It has soft sand to relax on and warm water to play in. Better yet, there are even a number of rock pools filled with different sea creatures. If you get hungry, then why not go look at some of the beach side restaurants? This beach is full of fun that will keep your family entertained for hours. You will feel sorry that you have to leave it and return to the city!

Mudchute Farm – Canary Wharf

Do your kids love animals? Well, Mudchute is a gorgeous farm in London that is set in around 32 acres of countryside. Not only does it have sheep and chickens for you to meet up close and personal, but it even has llamas! Feel free to take your time petting the animals, but if you get a little bored, why not enjoy the goat race. This fun farm will keep your little ones entertained for hours.

The Regents Park – Westminster

Of course, if you are visiting London, then you may want to indulge in a few moments of peace. London can be quite a loud city and you need to be able to find a balance between its frantic pace of life and its occasional moments of calm. That’s why you should spend some family time by indulging in a picnic. Summer time is the best season to indulge in a picnic, especially in one of the Royal Parks, like “The Regents Park”. Not only does it contain an archaic paradise of sprawling greenery, flowers, trees and ponds, but it is the perfect place to settle down with a picnic mat and just enjoy being together.
