Ideas for a monochrome toddler bedroom

Since buying our house I’ve been pinning and planning Taylor’s toddler bedroom. Granted this was before all our plans changed and I went from full time work to picking banana up off of the floor.

Their are so many things I want to do with it! His current furniture is a dark walnut wood, which looking back I wish was white. But his Daddy chose it so Shhhh. And it’s not all bad, it’s cute, a beautiful solid wood and it wasn’t at all cheap.

Following a grey/mono theme I’ve pinned a few ideas that I’d like to apply to his new room eventually. Mostly featuring chevrons and clouds. What do you think?

1.  Cloud Boxes  – £7 at Matalan

Cloud boxes for his Kallax unit. I’ve found these cute cloud boxes at Matalan that fit his Kallax perfectly. A great way to refresh something we already have.

2.  Height chart – £7.99 at H&M

This cute height chart from H&M is a great price and will look good on the wall of a toddler room.

3.  Name poster – £28 at Sgt.SMITH

This awesome mono poster say’s Taylor’s name and is already a new feature in his bedroom. Available in a choice of colours it looks great!

4. Wall letters – £11 each at Just For Tiny People

I’d use these to spell his name on his wall, replacing the brightly coloured bunting that is currently there.

5.  Home bed – £519 at Stokke

The Home bed from Stokke just screams fun to me, as Taylor loves tents at the moment I think he would enjoy snuggling up in this bed.

6.  Chevron storage bag – £28 at Minene

These storage bags a perfect for storing toddler toys and I love the chevron print.

7.  Pendant light – £119 at Nest

This pendant light from nest.co.uk has an industrial feel and would look great with our colour scheme!

8. Miffy Lamp from Mr Maria – £135 at Miffy Shop

The Miffy Lamp from Mr Maria has been on my wishlist since T was a newborn, we’re huge fans of Miffy and this lamp is just beautiful and perfect for a monochrome theme! Don’t you just want to give it a hug?

9.  Miffy Story Poster – £32.99 at Spineless Classics

This poster is made up of all the miffy stories, written by the great Dick Bruna who sadly passed away last week. We love miffy and this is going to be a cute addition to his bedroo wall.

10.  Dulux pebble paint – £14 at Homebase

I plan to paint a mountain range on Taylor’s wall in grey paint. This shade from Dulux would be perfect for it!

11.  Mono teepee – £165 at Just For Tiny People

This teepee fits our theme perfectly and Taylor wants everything to be a tent at the moment. It would be the perfect place for him to hide out and read his books.

These are just a few of my ideas for his room so far, some of the items such as the height chart, posters and boxes we already have. Others are on the wishlist.

What theme did you go for when transitioning from a nursery to a toddler room?
