Our thoughts on the Thomas & Friends My First Railway Pals Destination Discovery Playset
Aimed at ages 1-5 this particular Thomas & Friends Playset offers something for a broad range of ages. Entertaining little ones for hours.
The set itself includes a Percy train with cargo car. Additional trains are sold separately. There are over 40 track pieces including 9 track activation points. A light-up Tidmouth Sheds, Knapford & McColl’s Farm destinations, a turntable and crossing gate.
Building the track is really easy and Little Fox can do it by himself! The pieces can be built into the suggested tracks or any combination you’d like. Unlike similar track toys we’ve tried in the past the track is sturdy and stays together for longer. There’s nothing more irritating than rebuilding the same track on repeat 5 times within an hour every time your child touches it. The only downside is the stands that hold the track up, they topple over easily causing some frustration.
Is it educational?
Toys might be fun but we all know as parents we want our little ones to learn and they play and no one does that better than Fisher-Price. As the saying used to go, Play-Laugh-Grow. Railway Pals Destination Discovery promotes motor skills, fosters curiosity, inspires imagination and encourages understanding of cause and effect.

Little Fox loves pushing Percy over the activation points and joining in with what he says. If you add other characters like Thomas or Toby, they will say different things. Adding a new dimension to the toy.
