If you live with little people chances are you are well aquainted with Teletubbies. Those brightly coloured characters with televisions in their tummies.
This year Teletubbies turns 20, yes that’s right, 20! Loved by children the world over It’s amazing to see my child enjoying something that I too enjoyed as a child.
Teletubbies came around when I was 6, and I loved them. I can’t deny, I had a Teletubbies lunchbox. I might have been on the older side of their audience, but I didn’t care.
I hadn’t really heard or seen them since my childhood, I had no reason to. Finding out they were still so popular once I became a mum surprised me.
I can’t deny that I’m not as much of a fan now as I was as a child but it’s nice to see my child enjoying them in the same way I did.
Taylor is 2 and loves waving hello to the Teletubbies as they appear on our screen. They’ve certainly come a long way since I was a child. The overall look has changed with the times, for the better. And they have babies, Tiddlytubbies!
