Once you become a parent you find yourself carrying around insane amounts of stuff. Stuff you never would have thought about pre-parenthood.
Gone are the days of simply picking up your keys, phone and lipstick before dashing out of the house.
You need to carry multiple changes of clothes, nappies, wipes creams, food, the list goes on. So much so eventually you start forgetting to pack that lipstick. Priorities and all that…
As long as you have the teething gel and snacks you can handle being without what was once your daily essentials. It’s not as scary as it sounds!
Now, Little Fox is nearing 3 we’re carrying a lot less with us day-to-day. The mountain does reduce. I can often get away with one change of clothes, a few pull-ups and snacks. But with baby #2 on the way, we’ll be needing a bag that can handle more than we’ve ever needed before.
I’ve been lusting after a backpack style changing bag for a while now, Little Foxe’s dinosaur bag just doesn’t do it for me. I’m definitely losing style points by the minute when I wear it, and I really don’t have many to lose in the first place. I wanted something sleek and stylish that doesn’t scream ‘mummy’ too loudly. And that’s exactly what I’ve got thanks to Skip Hop!
Comprising of 9 pockets and made from a durable wipe-clean vegan leather it’s a beautiful bag. Available in a choice of 3 colourways from Caramel, Smoke, and my choice of Dusty Pink. The bag also comes with a changing mat and built-in drinks/bottle pocket.
The bag also has stroller straps which are a must for me. Although it’s a backpack you don’t always want to be wearing your changing bag. Unlike most bags which you hang on the handle and find them slipping and sliding everywhere. The ability to hook it onto the pushchair handlebar and have it safely attached is perfect.
Retailing at £98.86 on Amazon it’s certainly a high-quality changing bag for this price point and could be compared to many more high-end luxury changing bags.
Another thing I love about this bag is it’s big enough to fit a laptop up to 15″, making it the perfect mummy work bag. It doesn’t scream changing bag and would be perfect for taking to work after a nursery drop of. Or using on casual child-free days… If those even exist!
The addition of a removable pouch for nursery essentials would be ideal for this, a smaller internal pouch to hand over whilst taking the bag with you would be great.
Overall the Greenwich changing bag has met my expectations, I love its large size, 46cm (H) x 33cm (W) x 23.5cm (D), high-quality materials and design.
So far I’ve been carrying our essentials such as my skip hop wipes dispenser, outfit changes, nappies and snacks. But the bag has so much space I know I won’t have a problem when it comes to fitting in everything for baby too.
