Breastfeeding with Bravado Nursing bras

Seven months into my second breastfeeding journey, add that to the 2.5 years I breastfed with my first. I’ve now racked up over three years of breastfeeding!

And although I thought I had all the gear last time, from lanolins to pumps and nipple shields, the one thing I never had was a good nursing bra.

I never thought it mattered…

That was until I was sent these gorgeous bras from Bravado and realised what I’d been missing out on. For an entire 2.5 years of breastfeeding. I wore nursing camis. I’m not the biggest in the boob department, so it wasn’t so much about support. Although when the milk first comes in, or if you haven’t fed for a while, a little extra support wouldn’t go amiss.

From comfort and ease of use to not having to wear so many layers when it’s 30 degrees outside. It’s safe to say I wish I’d had these all along!

I’ve always been put off spending a lot on nursing bras. Because you don’t know how long you’ll be using them for. A good quality bra doesn’t come cheap, and if it’s for a specific purpose like breastfeeding you want to get some use out of it.

Bravado has taken this into consideration, and I love them for it. Each bra comes with a little pack attached to it with instructions and new clips. Showing you how to convert your bra from a nursing bra to a standard bra. So I’ll never have to stop using them!

I’ve been using the body silk seamless nursing bra and original nursing bra along with the new clip and pump hands free accessory and can honestly say I’m loving them all.

The original nursing bra is my every day go-to retailing at £27, it’s a soft cotton sports bra style, it’s so comfortable I’m not in a hurry to take it off when I get home.

The silk seamless bra retailing at £34  offers more support and gives great shape. It comes with padding, which you can remove, and it gives a really nice lift!

Nursing bras I’ve tried in the past either gave me a uni-boob, which is impressive considering I don’t have a lot of boob to shelve as it is, or they just didn’t fit well, losing their shape after a few weeks and being demoted for the camis. Forever sweltering in layers whatever the weather.

I’m also able to express hands-free with the bravado clip and pump. Retailing at £23 it simply clips onto your existing nursing bra and holds your pump into place, genius! I’ve needed this for so long. Where has it been all of my breastfeeding life?

The days I’ve spent over the years holding a pump and being unable to do anything else. Now I can clip the pump to my jeans and hoover if I wanted! I might look crazy, I wouldn’t answer the door with it on, but it’s so worth it!

Bravado bras have retained their shape and look great, even the man likes them. Nursing bras that are bringing sexy back! I really like the colours, fabrics and comfort of all the items so far and can finally feed in confidence.
