This week Baby C is as big as a Coconut and weighs as much as an Aubergine, that’s pretty big compared to the poppy seed they started out to be at around 4 weeks. Baby is still piling on the fat and getting bigger although the size of my bump doesn’t seem to have changed much this week it does feel tighter, I imagine the coconut looks something like this floating around in there! They do say babies are hairy all over too.
On Saturday we had our 3D scan booked where we hoped to get some confirmation on the little ones gender. This came about after the sonographer at our 20 week scan wasn’t 100% certain but told us enough to imply what baby might me, as I mentioned in a previous post we had decided if they could see then we wanted to find out, but if baby wasn’t up to showing then we would wait for a surprise. Well the 3D scan didn’t reveal anything either and we have to go back this weekend. Baby refused to move!
We had our scan at Lollipop 4D Baby Scans in Manchester city centre and I’ll share an in-depth review of our experience after our re-scan this weekend.
Things sure have changed a lot since last weeks scare of the baby that didn’t kick and wouldn’t move, of course they waited until after the scan to get a wiggle on but it has been non-stop! They must be starting to fill out in there and it now feels like baby is breakdancing all day long, which is great when compared to feeling nothing at all. Keep dancin’ baby!
This week I’ve also started to sort things out in the soon to be nursery, the furniture is built and our masses of shopping have started to pile up inside the empty cot. I’ll do a post all about it when it’s finished but until then this is the only sneak peek you’re having 😉
