Milestone: Taylor is 2 Weeks Old – Daddy Returns to Work

Baby T is already two weeks old and he has changed so much since he was born, Its amazing how fast they grow.

This week Phillip went back to work, I was a little nervous about my first day alone with T but it wasn’t bad at all. He is so laid back and relaxed most of the time, although I must admit It’s nice when Phillip comes home in the evening to have another adult to talk to. Taylor and I have some very one sided conversations during the day.

Nursing a Newborn – The Early Days, with Medela

It’s been 20 days since I officially became a mother and with that a member of what seems to be an elite club of people who spend their nights staring down into the eyes of tiny people who feed at all hours. In those moments sitting in the dimly lit night whilst your partner snores away next to you, when those big eyes are staring back at you and you feel nothing but love, you forget that you haven’t slept for three nights, you’re middle of the night snacks are just out of arms reach, baby is already feeding and you need the loo!

Milestone: Taylor’s First Week in The World

I’ve been a mum for an entire week and it has been the most surreal yet amazing week of my life. How has a week with this amazing tiny person passed us by so quickly? Should we have a cake to celebrate?
We brought Taylor home on Saturday the 3rd of January at 9:00pm after spending two nights in hospital, this was because I’d lost a lot of blood and could barely stand without blacking out, otherwise we would have been home sooner…

Birth Announcement: And Then There Were 3

I’m very excited and proud to announce that on the 1st of January 2015 our son came into the world! – Taylor Grayson Clarence – He is perfect in every way and we’re completely in love!

Hopes, Fears and Expectations for Breastfeeding

One subject that is always rife in the media is breastfeeding, in fact it gets a lot of negative press when I really feel it shouldn’t. It’s 100% natural. That being said as somebody preparing to embark on the journey of motherhood it sounds like bloomin hard work! Not only that but it sounds painful. So the big question is, do I intend to breastfeed? Yes!

What’s in my birth bag?

As we have less than one week until we reach our EDD (January 2nd) I thought It was about time I shared which essentials are in my hospital bag.
The bags have been packed and waiting by our door since week 28 alongside the car seat, now we just need this little minion to make his grand appearance!
