Book Review: Confessions of a Chalet Girl by Lorraine Wilson

When Holly leaves England for a season working at a chalet in the Swiss Alps it’s to get a way from her everyday life and get over a recent break-up, she needs to have fun. Also because her house mates have announced they are expecting a baby and she needs to move out! Avoiding all of that she jets off for a season of Skiing and adventure… So this novella is about skiing and snowboarding right? Wrong! A fantastic steamy romance novella in the snow!

Book Review: Tempting Fate by Jane Green

When this book landed on my doorstep I couldn’t wait to get started, it climbed straight to the top of my reading pile.

Tasty Chocolate Dessert Muffins

The perfect treat to make on a rainy Sunday! I can tell you we have been having a lot of those lately so cakes and cookies are coming out of our ears, this recipe was really easy to follow and the results were very tasty too.

Note that these muffins are from an English recipe so the mix is for 12 but they rise to the height of a standard size cup/fairy cake case or deep muffin tin. I used large muffin cases as they are all I had. The perfect treat to make on a rainy Sunday!

Book Review: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

This had my attention from start to finish. It’s been a while since I picked up a book that caught my interest as quickly as this, I found myself feeling attached to the characters very quickly, they all have their own traits that make you like them all for different reasons.
