Keep Calm and Hypnobirth

Taylor is now five months old and I still haven’t managed to put into words his entire birth story, it’s something so close to me and personal that finding the best way to share this part of me isn’t easy. It wasn’t horrid, far from it. It also wasn’t the birth I had hoped for, I spent it strapped to a monitor on a bed, instead of in a pool with twinkling lights overhead.
I did however have the many hypnobirthing techniques I had learnt from The Calm Birth School.

Mum’s Night Off – We’re going to see Taylor Swift!

On Wednesday the 24th Phillip and I will be going to see Taylor Swift live at the MEN Arena, (no we didn’t name our son after Taylor Swift, or Taylor Hanson, or Taylor York… Although being a huge fan of T-Swift, Hanson, and Paramore (Throw in McFly and you have my dream festival line-up!) maybe my love of the name was a little subliminal? It’s a great name!) this will see me leaving Taylor for the longest time period to date, hopefully I’ll be too excited to worry too much, but of course I will worry.

Super Tasty Choc Chip Cookies

This week has seen me getting back into my baking groove, whilst Taylor’s had ten minutes going crazy in his Jumperoo I’ve been throwing together batches of these super tasty cookies. They’re similar to Millies or Subway cookies so they’re very sweet and they take minutes to make, totally mum-proof. Also great to get toddlers and older children involved in making!

We’re Finalists! – The MAD Blog Awards

I cannot describe how shocked I was to see that my little piece of the internet has found itself in the finals of The MAD Blog Awards, this has truly brightened up a rather difficult week and we wouldn’t be here without you, the readers!
We’re in the finals for the Pregnancy category, if you nominated us thank you so much, I’m still shocked and stunned that we’re listed amongst so many great blogs, many of which I myself read for guidance during my pregnancy.

Baby Style: What Taylor Wore #5

This weeks outfit fast became a firm favourite, Taylor recently moved into his 3-6 month clothing and I absolutely love these Dungarees from House of Fraser. These dunagress are from a brand named Rockabye Baby and retail at £29, they’re really cute and stylish and when they’re not in the wash he’s been wearing them.
