Aside from the sheer excitement of House of Cards returning to Netflix last night there is a whole world of fantastic shows that you should be watching. Here are some of our favourites that you can go ahead and watch now, right now. And a few things that are coming this year that you won’t want to miss!
1. House of Cards
After opening the “Season 5 House of Cards is now on Netflix” email yesterday I was counting down to bedtime. We love House of Cards, it required nachos and dip. Alas having a 2yo meant we didn’t binge watch, we will most likely watch one per evening.
2. 13 Reasons Why
Based on the YA novel by Jay Asher 13 Reasons Why is a gripping account of the events that lead to one girl’s demise. How the world of social media, peer pressure and simply being a teen can turn your world upside down. Having already watched every episode I recommend you do the same. I wasn’t convinced I’d like the series as much as the book but it’s better than I had ever expected.
3. Mind Hunter
Coming in October 2017 Mind Hunter is set in 1979 following two FBI agents who interview serial killers. Having seen the trailer for Mind Hunters it’s certainly on my watch list and I can’t wait for to arrive on Netflix!
4. Stranger Things Season 2
Coming October 31st it’s Season 2 of Netflix hit show Stranger Things. If you’ve seen season 1 then you’re most likely counting down to this like I am! Stranger things is set in the 80’s, it’s like ET and all my favourite John Huges movies had a baby.
5. Dinotrux
For the little people in your life, we love Dinotrux. Another Netflix original, aren’t all their best shows their own? This is perfect for boys and girls who love Transformers, dinosaurs, construction, a bit of everything! Little Fox loves jumping around the theme tune and shouting “Smash it!” we need more dinotrux.
6. GLOW
Coming to Netflix on the 23rd June GLOW follows a group of ladies looking for stardom who find themselves becoming female wrestlers!
