Little Foxe's 'Big Boy Bedroom' wishlist

As the arrival of our Baby Cub draws closer we’ve been putting a lot of thought into Little Foxe’s bedroom. He’ll be giving his furniture to the new baby, which could be traumatic. Or he might not be bothered at all, let’s hope for the latter. At almost 3 years old he no longer requires a nursery furniture set and I couldn’t justify buying another when we already have it all.

To make the experience a fun one we want to make his new bedroom as special as possible. It’s not every day you get upgraded from a toddler bed to a full sized single. Or that somebody comes and takes all of your things away to give to a person you haven’t yet met and who is guaranteed to intrude on everything in your life.

The last thing we want is for him to feel pushed out in any way, he’s our baby and in all honesty, I am terrified of how he’s going to take the change. Hopefully, it will be good for him to have a sibling but I can’t help worrying.

So far we’ve ordered his new bed, which is set to arrive tomorrow, exciting! And started to plan the rest of the room! Here’s what I’m hoping to include in Little Foxes big boy bedroom –

1. TeePee bookcase £160 – This cute bookcase matches the bed I’ve had my eye on. It’s super stylish and looks ridiculously cool! This is most likely going to replace the kallax unit we currently have in his bedroom.

2.TeePee Bed £399 – The TeePee bed is something I spent far too much time looking at. Telling myself we didn’t need one, whilst convincing myself we did. Well, it’s being delivered tomorrow so it looks like we really did need it!

3.Ikea drawers £100 – The drawers that were previously in Little Foxe’s bedroom were a changing table so naturally, they’ll be going to the baby along with the matching wardrobe. He hasn’t got many things that require hanging so I’ve opted for this tall unit which should give us ample space for his clothes.

4.Ikea storage box £49 – We have a lot of toys and any extra storage is always welcome. These boxes are huge! They also have the option of adding a padded cushion to create a seating area on top which I love.

5.Artek Stool – These cute stools from Utility Design match the furniture and decor of the room perfectly and would be great to use as a bedside table or a place for us to sit by his bed whilst reading stories at bed time.

6.Beanbag £59.99 –  These gorgeous beanbags from Ollie & Leila make the perfect place for little bottoms to relax. I’ll be putting one by the bookcase to create a cosy reading corner.

7.Miffy lamp £135 – The Mr Maria Miffy lamps are stunning and would make the perfect finishing touch to little foxes bedroom. I’ve had my eye on them for far too long.

I can’t wait to see the room start coming together and can only hope Little Fox loves it!
