The thought of traveling with children can be a daunting one, we have yet to travel abroad with Taylor. Flying with a toddler and caring for them in a foreign country doesn’t shout ‘holiday’ to me.
Look past the lack of relaxation, as that’s not an option with a toddler in tow, is it? We would love to go abroad as a family, leaving him behind isn’t an option for us. We want Taylor to be a part of our adventures.
The biggest decision for us is choosing a destination. A fun, family friendly destination. I don’t believe having a child should stop us from seeing the places we want to. Providing they’re safe.
Here’s a list of the places we would love to visit as a family.
New York City – The city that never sleeps. We’ve always wanted to visit New York, at Christmas time in the snow. Although summer may be a better option with a toddler.
Chicago – Since being a child myself I’ve loved the Chicago Cubs. Nobody know where my love of baseball as a child came from… I would still love to go to Wrigley Field and watch a game with the boys.
Miami – We visited Floria pre-Taylor and it was a beautiful place. Next on our list would be to see Miami, watch and NFL game and experience the beaches!
Canada – We’ve always talked about visiting Canada one day. We have friends there and it has always appealed to us. Whistler in particular, when T is big enough to snowboard this would be a great family holiday!
China – I find China fascinating and would to learn more about their culture. Try real Chinese food and see the sights with an Encounters Travel tour.
Norway – I’ve always wanted to visit Norway, everything about it just screams beauty to me. It would be a beautiful place to go on a Snowboarding holiday and also sight seeing.
Have you visited any of these places, with or without your children, would you recommend them?
