Review: Shmuncki Baby Clothing

One of my favourite things has always been shopping, and since having T of course it’s all about babies. I’ve found it hard to find baby brands that sell something different and unique to those found on the high-street and love to be a little bit different. Then I found Shmuncki!

Shmuncki is a 100% British baby brand created by Helen who is lovely, a mum who wanted nothing more than beautiful traditional looking baby garments that are both comfortable and easy for parents to use on their little bundles, and that’s exactly what she has achieved.

Upon receiving our parcel from Shmuncki I instantly loved the packaging and attention to detail, I’ve always loved independent brands for the personal touches and care that is given to their products. Hand packed in a gift box, wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a ribbon. Could this be any cuter?

We really love everything about both the brand and products so far, here’s why…

Harbour

We’ve been trying out the Harbour collection, a lovely selection of white baby clothing from Blankets to bibs and rompers all with an on-trend nautical themed print. The blue print consisting of boats, flags and ship wheels can be found across the range and looks adorable. Every detail right down to the ribbon tied tag is perfect.

Each garment feels extremely soft and of high quality, made from Jersey cotton and using nickel free poppers which assures me that my little man is going to be comfortable when in them.

The Rompers are available in sizes 0-6 months and 6-12 months meaning they will last, something all parents like the hear! Taylor is wearing the 0-6 month romper and it has a very generous loose fit giving him plenty of room to grow.

My favourite piece of the collection is the romper as he looks really comfortable when he wears this, he has a lot of room for movement which is great, he really loves to wriggle his legs, it’s super easy to put on and looks cute. For me this ticks all of the boxes.

One of my favourite features of the romper is the open feet with cuffed ankles, I know a lot of people who struggle with baby clothing that have feet because their little ones are just too long and I absolutely love it when T has his cute little feet out – I cannot stand feet, but oh my goodness how cute are baby feet! I love them.

The romper features poppers on the neck and inside legs, the matching t-shirt features an open neckline with overlaps making them both easy to remove over the head or down the body, this is important when you have to deal with some messy situations (Yes I mean a poonami!) and removing clothing over the head just isn’t an option!

T absolutely loves the matching blanket, he’s taken to rubbing it on his face a lot and falling asleep holding it’s piped edges on the rounded corners. We’ve received a few compliments on this one when he’s out in his pram and I can understand why.

Shmuncki are now on my list of go-to places when it comes to shopping for T as I know I can expect high quality products that will last, do you have any hidden gems that you love when it comes to shopping for your little ones? Let us know in the comments below!

Also be sure to pop back soon as we’ll be hosting a fantastic Shmunki Liberty print give-away.
